A- You must be admitted at least once to a psychiatric facility or have been a patient registered with an affiliated agency. A referral to the program by a representative, self, family or worker on your behalf should be sent to the HSC office located at Ontario Shores in Whitby. You will then be interviewed and assessed by a community nurse clinician with the HSC program. The interview will give you information to help you understand the program better. You will be able to ask as many questions as you like.

Q- Who pays for the program?

A- If you have money of your own, you pay for the program. If you do not have money of your own, an assessment of your financial situation will be completed by a social services worker. If you are eligible for assistance, the government will pay for the program for you.
